Just for today
Today I'm going to rant about political correctness and the reason to make it go away. I have been working, almost exclusively for the past few years through no grand plan, with black children. Some of these kids are from Africa, some are from Jamaica, some are from the United States, and some are from Great Britain even. They are not ALL African American even in their own eyes. Come on now, let's get over this bullshit and just call each other people or use the scientific terms for each race. This was obviously just a low horse for today but it will become a high one when someone gets me going.
Let us talk about idiot drivers and what happened today. Is it only me, or are there some days when everyone on the road has either dropped acid or smoked something stronger than a cigarette. I am not only talking about those who are primping down the road OR, the worst drivers in the world, those that THINK they can use two hands to... Talk on the phone, eat something, smoke a cigarette/cigar/whatever AND, oops almost forgot that one, drive. All of this at the same time. Cleveland wants to put up red light cameras for speeders. I think we need stupid meters for people like those I just mentioned. I am sure the technology exists somewhere.
Next was the woman who sped up on the highway, got over in front of me and immediately slowed down as if she was going to get off at the next exit, which she did not. Guess what she was doing.... She was on the fucking phone.
Next was the two guys going so fast I was sure they would cause something wicked. They come up on another vehicle as if they were the only people on the road then expect everyone else to get out of the way, which we usually do out of sheer self-preservation instincts. Damn, we really do need those red-light cameras, don't we? Most of the neighborhoods where those cameras are active are places that an intelligent person often would never want to stop anyway. Maybe people think it will bring more business to a blighted area. Well we all know that ain't the case. Instead as we all should know, it will send us suburbanites even further into our cocoon of false-security. If the city is trying to bust us when we may not even be driving the car, then why should we spend our money there. Shit, they're already trying to take it from us. Fuck them! That's it for today..
