DQ Lakeshore Boulevard in Mentor, Ohio 5-17-2006

I went to DQ today as I have about once a month over the past three years or so. I am always assured that the quality of the food is easily the best of any fast food joint in the Eckley's Corners area. They are always consistent and tasty. The malts are better than anywhere else, although in the past ten years or so they have to be asked to double the malt in order for it to taste like it did when I was a kid.

Usually the people on the window are good as well. Today at 1428 the boy on the window, though not rude or mean, was not up to par. When I stated that I needed a little extra time, which might be alleviated if another sign was angled so that those waiting to order could see it before ringing the bell, he said, "huh?" It should have been , "excuse me" or something on those lines. Once he understood me and I knew what I wanted, I said I was ready and he said, "Yeah...," Again a poor choice of wording. Please inform your workers that people appreciate friendliness and professionalism much more than lackadaisical attitudes and unintelligible speech.
