Fitness Quest or fitnessquest.com
Hello,
I did finally get my bike, thank you. BUT, I have a problem, I know it is shocking, the seat adjustment knob is broken, in fact I cut my finger on the damned thing while trying to tighten it. The plastic was shattered when I pulled it from the box.
This is not my original reason for writing, though. I have a huge problem with your method of shipping Before I go on, I need to add that Fitness Quest is probably one of the best companies I have ever dealt with, and I write a consumer advocacy blog that this letter will be on, with additions. UPS, the company that was supposed to have done a pick-up said they were at the designated spot three times and they were NEVER there, as far as I could determine. There were no labels or other door hangers, etc. to say they had made an attempt, yet we checked online with the tracking number and they said they had been to the house three times. I was even home all of one of the days and no one ever knocked, therefore, they out and out lied. This is not a company you want to deal with as they make you look bad. Again, someone may misconstrue what is written on my blog to be detrimental to you but that is not the case. This is about your choice of carrier. I would seriously consider switching to some other company.
Thank you for your incredibly wonderful assistance with my bike, which is my favorite piece of workout equipment. I tell everyone I know whom wants a stationary bike to purchase the one I have.
Fitness Quest has been more than helpful and they stand behind their products. Anything that has gone wrong with my stationary bike has been happily replaced without any problem.
The problem, as above, has ALWAYS been about the shipping. UPS has fallen and is, in my opinion a horrible company. When I attempted to ship my item originally, they told me it would cost over $100.00. That was absolutely ludicrous when it was only $100.00 to buy a new one. Fitness Quest had them come pick it up from me for only a little over $30, so what kind of bullshit were they trying to tell me. They quoted me a price on weight, then re-canted telling me it dealt with space of the box. The fucking box was only 10 inches wide!!!!! The guy, I am thinking the manager, of the unit on Mentor Avenue in Mentor by Wendy's, said due to the odd shape they would charge me "potential weight" or some bullshit like that. So you are telling me that a pillow, which would take up more space then my bike box, wold cost me over $100.00 to ship UPS. Fuck that. Come on people. Anyway, this is being sent to UPS as well, but, in the mean time, I suggest looking into DHL or someone else.
