Kleifield's restaurant in Downtown Willoughby, Ohio

As soon as we walk into this place we felt as though we had entered some kind of, "you are not a regular so don't breath," zone. All eyes were upon us and they never stopped. There was nothing telling us whether or not to seat ourselves, as I have already written this is becoming more and more of a problem, so we decided on a four top. There may have been seating for about thiry in this place, if that. After sitting down we waited to be acknowledged. We arrived at about 1:15 PM an no one said a word to us until about 1:40. In fact we were just about to get up and leave when the server, Sheila, was friendly enough, but slow as HELL. She spent a great deal of time talking to all of the regulars while at the same time absolutely ignoring us.

When we finaly were able to order drinks after 20 minutes or so she took the order then took more than five minutes to get them to us, then she left. No asking about whether or not we were ready to order, which we were. Two of us ordered the Chicken Fried Steak and eggs while the other got a French Toast. I must say the prices were about $2.00 less than the more well known places. The flavor was nothing to, "write home about." But the value was pretty good. As I have said many a time, with breakfast it is difficult to do anything wrong. They did nothing wrong but it was kinda, nothing. the "homefries" were actually pretty bland.

My suggestion: Do not go there unless you are "one of them." Nothing is exciting enough to make the LOOKS worth your while.
