Denny's on Mentor Avenue in Mentor, Ohio

Today is a good day, though I would not expect any different from Denny's. My companion and I went to the restaurant today, after a late night, for a very late breakfast, mind you it was at noon, and ordered my perennial favorite, chicken fried steak and eggs for me and two eggs with sausage for her. The server, Alice was very efficient and quite nice to boot. She was training another woman who was also quite good, even though it was obvious she was nervous. Our order was taken quickly and delivered in the same manner. I even remembered the waitress from 20 years ago when I used to go there after a night at the bar, kinda scary, I know.

I was happy with my meal except for the fact that the hashbrown portion was about 1/2 as much as we used to get, which is somewhat disheartening due to the fact that potatoes are very inexpensive. BUT, all in all, it was a pleasant experience. Kudos to you Alice. You told us you have been there almost 30 years. Well, I for one hope you are there for 30 more. (Only if you want to be, that is.)
