Wells Fargo

You know what? I have a gripe, I know how hard that may be to believe, about the supposed customer service of big business (lending institutions to be more specific). I have a mortgage with Wells-Fargo, and I think they are some of the least understanding and compassionate people on the planet.

I have a note that is due on the 1st, which is usually doable, but I would like to make it just a bit later to ensure that my checks from various places come in. I have asked three different times if there was some way in which to possibly push my due date back approximately 10 days to make it slightly less stressful. (By then most checks are in from work completed the previous month.) Do you think they might want to help a person pay their mortgage without undue hardship? NO! I even offered to pay an extra fee in order to make up for time spent punching buttons on a computer. You would think I was asking for their first born, but no, I am just asking to make things work so I will not have late fees, which is of course not what they want because late fees make them more money.

When speaking with people, which is almost a misnomer in and of itself because it took more than 15 minutes just to hear a semi-human voice, you would think it is all their own money. Well folks, if you want us to pay then help a brother out for God's sake. I was told that I would have to re-finance to change the date. That figures doesn't it. The rates are higher now than they were when I got the loan, so why would I be dumb enough to re-finance? (To give them more money? I don't think so.) I am not asking for the moon. I just want a bit of leeway. What seems to be the problem? It isn't as if I'm going to ask them every other week to do this.

We are the consumers who make them all of their money. How about we all tell them we would like to be treated respectfully for our business instead of like some bastard child they just have to live with. I was basically told to fuck-off when I asked, so I think that's what I want to tell them. In fact, I might just re-finance, but make sure it is a company that has NOTHING to do with them.
