Red Robin in Willouhby, Ohio again 10-24-2006
On Tuesday, October 24th 2006, I went to Red Robin in Willoughby, Ohio yet again. The same thing as is usual will be stated this time. Though the food was quite good, the prices are too much. In my mind, for a wrap style sandwich with soup and a salad to cost over $20.00 is ridiculous.
I had the BBQ chicken wrap with a cup of French Onion soup. The soup was average but the wrap was quite good with just the right amount of BBQ flavor and white meat chicken that was not dry as it often is.
My companion had a crispy chicken salad, which he said was good. He especially liked the Honey Mustard dressing.
We were seated quickly and efficiently with no fanfare. Our server, Steven, was “Johnny-on-spot” with our drink order, BUT, that is where it got to be too much. He hovered. My companion and I were trying to have a conversation but, due to Steven’s almost constant presence, we felt somewhat uncomfortable. I want to impress upon you that he was by far not rude in any way. He was just too close too often.
Make sure your staffers are not too attentive, as that will drive someone away as quickly, sometimes even more so, as a server who stays away.
