JDs Post House in Mentor on the Lake, Ohio
Well... I have to give the people who run this restaurant one thing. They are very consistent. I have NEVER, and this was the fourth try, been happy with the food I received at this place. It is always something other than what I had hoped. Today we decided to go for breakfast. I mean, seriously, how hard is it to do breakfast. We figured there was only a slim chance that they could fuck it up. Well to odds were not in our favor this day because... yes, it's true, they most certainly can find a way to fuck it up and they did on more than one occasion. cleanliness, food quality and answers to questions are the three unacceptable topics of this posting. The service, other than the bullshit answer about the coffee, which you will read shortly, was just fine. Our server, Kara, was quite polite and friendly without being cloying, Kudos to you, Kara, but that is the only positive thing about this place.

i really enjoy your reviews, but i can't remember if you've ever had an overall good review of a restaurant. the wife and i are going out for one of our rare dates this weekend, is there any place you would recommend? i was thinking about going (back to) Bravo Cucina Italiana in woodmere but i think you had a bad time there as well!
